Your Privacy

Thank you for visiting The Firestarter Awards. We hope you enjoyed your visit. We would like you to know that your privacy is very important to us. To better protect your privacy, we provide this notice explaining our online information practices and the choices you have about the way your information is collected and used.

While visiting The Firestarter Awards your privacy will be respected. I will not sell, trade or transmit your information to any third party. All information gathered will be kept confidential. The only information gathered will be if you make an application to the Firestarter Awards Program. Your email request will be kept on file until the award process (which takes approximately one month (30) days) has been completed, at which time all information will be deleted.

The Information We Collect

To ensure your privacy, the following exceptions may apply: If you apply for my award, the information you submitted will be seen only from me. If you are a winner of my award, your Page's Title and Url, and your name will be listed under my Winner's List. All gold and art site winners will have a screenshot taken of their homepage. The information you submit in the application form or give via email, will not be used further for newsletter, pollings and other net features. If I receive your award, your site and/or awards program name, award graphic, date and URL will be listed on my 'Awards Won' section.

Children's Privacy

In accordance with C.O.P.P.A. rules I will not knowingly collect information from children under the age of 14. I ultimately try to keep children from sending out their personal information and viewing subject matter deemed inappropriate for their age group. However, I understand that these regulations are the ultimate responsibility of the parent. I can not be held responsible if a minor misleads me about their age. The required age to participate in the Firestarter Awards Program is eighteen 18. This website links to other web sites. This website is not responsible for the privacy policies of other web sites.

The Firestarter Awards uses ICRA labelling to help make the internet safer for children. ICRA is an independent non-profit organization whose mission is to direct users to the content they want, to trust what they find, and to avoid content they prefer not to see, whether for themselves or their children.

4.The copyright for any material created by the author is reserved. Any duplication or use of images is not permitted without the author's agreement. The Firestarter Award graphics have been designed by myself - J.A.Phillips 2005. They must not be used without consent.
5. Only award winning applicants may display them. All gold and artsite winners screenshots are displayed with permission. They are copyrighted to their owners and must not be used.
6. With exception, the intro page includes a graphic adapted from an old litho poster, artist unknown, circa 1900.
7. My free award graphics are available for use and can be freely taken, but please remember to give credit to: http://www.firestarterawards.com. They must not be used for commercial use or displayed as part of your own collection. If you are in doubt then please contact me.
